Specialized Burnout Therapy Online
You’ve tried resting, but it’s not enough. This therapy helps you repair the deeper cost of caring too much for too long.
Optimal stress is what you’re aiming for—not the kind that leaves you exhausted and numb. There are ways to help you stay out of the burnout zone and maintain the level of stress that is right for you. Taking the steps to engage in burnout therapy can help with prevention and recovery so you can feel like yourself again.

Why I Offer Burnout Therapy Online
I’ve been burned out 3 times that I can identify, and remember clearly.
1. The first time was when I was 21, finishing my degree, working 25 hours a week and planning a wedding – all the while getting ready to move to a brand new community where my new husband and I knew no one. I was spent, crying every day and irritable with everyone around me – I’m surprised he didn’t call off the wedding.
2. The second time was when I was starting a small business while homeschooling my two young children(!!). Yup, that pretty much says it all.
3. And the third was during the pandemic while I was working in the hospital supporting families and healthcare staff in the deep-end of Covid-19 while navigating cortisol spikes, overwhelming stress and systems-politics in the workplace. I was doing more than a full-time job and living on the emotional edge of exhaustion, fear and compassion fatigue.
I didn’t understand burnout, and no one around me was helping me to name it, and burnout therapy just wasn’t on my radar at the time – especially online! I just thought I was tired, stressed and losing capacity. I now know, burnout is so much more than that.

Who I Help With Burnout Therapy & Coaching
Many of the people I work with are professionals and caregivers who have spent years serving, and giving and sharing their talents with others. They are often competent, insightful, and dependable. And they are becoming exhausted. They feel like they are losing parts of themselves and becoming disconnected from their own needs.
Burnout is not just about stress. It is a state of emotional, physical, and spiritual depletion that often comes after long periods of caring, leading, working, and enduring more than seems sustainable. It can show up slowly and surprise you. You might notice loss of joy, a sense of numbness, or an increasing desire to withdraw from the places and activities you once enjoyed.
I remember the days I was just desperate to keep going, I would often say “if only I could clone myself”. What a disillusionment.
How Burnout Feels
Burnout is a natural response to prolonged overextension, unrealistic expectations, and the cost of holding everything together for others while putting yourself aside.
There are some surprising signs of burnout:
* Emotional flatness or irritability
* Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
* Compassion fatigue or resentment toward others’ needs
* Feeling disconnected from purpose or identity
* Physical symptoms like fatigue, headaches, or sleep issues
* A growing urge to withdraw from work and relationships
These patterns are signals, and therapy can help you understand what these signals are trying to tell you.
Holistic Burnout Support
My approach to burnout therapy uses a 4-phase approach that integrates evidence-based tools with psychospiritual considerations. I draw from not only my own experiences, but I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, self-compassion frameworks, narrative therapy, and spiritual care. This means we will look at your inner and outer world, your values, your limits, your body’s signals, and the pressures you carry.
Therapy and coaching can help you understand yourself and make choices about what matters to you. It’s this courage to explore your patterns that will allow you to move forward with less pressure, more clarity, and a renewed sense of what matters.
I work with:
– Professionals in healthcare, education, mental health, and public service
– Parents and adult children caring for loved ones – I’ve been there and done that
– Helpers and leaders who no longer feel like themselves. – yup – it happens all the time
– People questioning what they want from life, work, or relationships after burnout – discovering your values and goals is an awesome strategy for re-building your inner and outer world
– Those navigating stress leave and figuring out next steps
What is Burnout Coaching & Therapy Together?
Burnout coaching helps you get in touch with what you want for your future and explore helpful strategies for how you want to get there. It is goal-oriented and future-oriented. When you pair coaching with therapy, you can also discover what is holding you back and some of the patterns and areas of resistence are showing up in your life. The combination of therapy and coaching gives you a strong foundation for how to move forward in a robust and authentic way that will last.
Burnout therapy with a coaching emphasis:
– helps you identify how you got where you are
– helps you understand and explore values-based decision making
– helps you break patterns you want to break and what new habits you want to develop
– helps you build alignment with your strengths and your goals
– helps you understand your future risks and setbacks to be aware of
